Peter Fassbender is the Executive Chef of Season's at Highland Lake Inn. A native of Chile, Peter is a 1998 Business Administration & Chef graduate of Instituto de Los Andes in Lima, Peru, and was awarded a Grand Diplome from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris in 2001. Before his debut at Highland Lake Inn in 2004, Peter lived and worked in South America, Europe, and the United States, and speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and even a little bit of French and Italian.
Matt Lineback; Sous Chef of Season's at Highland Lake Inn. Born in Winston Salem and growing up in the Triangle Area near Raleigh, NC, Matt is a true North Carolinian. With his experience of seasonal cooking at home and his father being a BBQ aficionado, cooking professionally only seemed natural to Matt. After graduating AB Tech in 2006 with an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts, Matt went on to study business marketing at Appalachian State University. Along with Matt's strong beliefs in the Slow Food Movement, his passion for Local Foods fit right into the core philosophy of Season's. On his own time, he likes to can and preserve food as well as do a little Charcuterie (cured meats, terrines, etc). Since living in the Appalachian Mountains for the past 11 years, Matt has discovered the joy of fly fishing and tries to get out whenever he can.
