The area is heavily populated with beautiful flowering Azalea, Rhododendrons, Mountain Laurel, Crepe Myrtle, Dogwood and much more. The wonderful forests of the area burst into fall color anywhere from early October to mid November. A drive along the Blue Ridge parkway during this time is truly unforgettable. The area is famous for Trout fishing and all mountain activities from canoeing to hiking.
