Highland Lake Inn is a haven of warm hospitality, elegant simplicity, and unspoiled natural beauty nestled in a 26-acre gently wooded setting, which includes a serene lake and waterfall. An ideal location for romantic weekends, weddings and receptions, family getaways and reunions, corporate retreats, conferences, and training sessions, we delight in making our guests' visits as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
In addition to the 20 renovated rooms in the historic Lodge, accommodations include The Woodward House which is our elegant 16-room inn, the Primrose suite, ten cozy cabin rooms, and six family-style cottages situated beside the new pool.
Our chefs specialize in garden fresh cuisine, much of which comes from our 2-acre organic garden, which is served in a casually elegant setting in our 180-seat restaurant. Fresh flowers, heavy white tablecloths, and glowing candles create a warm and refreshing atmosphere that envelopes all who dine with us. Our seasonal menus are based on the flow of produce from our organic gardens, because chefs and gardeners work hand in hand in planning the rotating succession of vegetables, edible flowers, and herbs used in the preparation of our fine country cooking. Recipient of the "Award of Excellence" from Wine Spectator magazine for having one of the best restaurant wine lists in the world since 2000, our restaurant has received many awards for excellence in dining. Our Pastry Department produces the majority of our breads, pastries, and desserts.
Our Banquet team takes care of every detail in order to give our guests a delightful dining experience. The Green Room and the Private Dining Room, located in the restaurant, feature handcrafted copper chandeliers and other special touches that set the perfect mood for parties, luncheons, and banquets for small groups of up to 55 people. The Grand Ole Hall, which has full kitchen capabilities, provides a warm, casual atmosphere for large banquets of up to 200 people.
