During your stay with us, you will enjoy many amenities such as complimentary daily newspapers, hairdryer, cable TV, air conditioning, individual bathrooms, iron and ironing board, in-room coffee, telephone with voicemail and data port, clock radios, and wonderful Southern country breakfast buffets (except for Cottages which have full kitchens) included in your room rates.

We have canoes and paddleboats (as available), a serene lake, plentiful fishing (bring your own poles), beautiful swimming pool, bikes, and sports equipment including volleyball, croquet, horseshoes, and badminton. Our property has a scenic waterfall and lots of space for walking.

Feel free to amble over to the goat barn and organic gardens. Goat feeding is daily around 8:30 a.m. Visit our friendly farm critters and see how many baby chicks are running around. We have some fancy chickens, guinea hens, turkeys, a peacock, and donkeys for you to experience.

There is free high-speed WI-FI access available in the all of our accommodations, as well as Season's Restaurant, the Kudzu Cottage, and the Grand Ole Hall.

Business Office in the Woodward House

For the convenience of our guests at Highland Lake Inn, the Woodward House has a business office with a computer and printer. Keys to the business center can be checked out from the front desk.

Social Hour

We invite you to join us at the Social Hour, currently held on
Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. in The Woodward House or Lodge Lobby. We also do a Social Hour every Wednesday during peak season. Learn about activities on our property while enjoying some complimentary wine, assorted snacks, and desserts. Guest Services will confirm location and times during your Check-In.

Organic Garden Tours, Cooking Class & Lunch

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, June 11 & 25, July 9 & 23, and August 6 & 20, our gardeners will be giving Garden Tours so that people can learn how sustainable agriculture works. They will also discuss the fascinating goings-on in the bug world of our 2-acre organic garden. With years of experience, they know how to grow nearly 100 different herbs, about as many vegetables and edible flowers, and delight in sharing this knowledge. Be sure to wear garden clothes, shoes and a hat.

After the Garden Tour, one of our chefs will hold a Cooking Class demonstrating creative ways to utilize fresh herbs, vegetables, and flowers that you just harvested! You will learn techniques, tips, and recipes.

The Garden Tour, Cooking Class & Lunch, including a Glass of Wine, Chef's Choice Entree, and a delicious Dessert & Coffee, is $49.95 per person. Please allow approximately 2 1/2 - 3 hours for the whole experience.
