Culinary Demonstrations & Wine Tastings:

Highland Lake Inn and Season's Restaurant have developed several culinary teambuilding events to cleanse your team?s palate.

Grape Escapes Teambuilding: Test your team's marketing skills and learn a little bit about wine at the same time. One of our wine representatives and in house wine expert will put on a demonstration for your group. You will learn about two types of wine. You are buying a vineyard so you need a new marketing campaign for your wine. Each team will be given a certain type of wine they need to create a label for. To get the wine to market they must put together a presentation for the judging committee. It includes a slogan, jingle, and commercial advertisement. Each team will present to the judging committee. The judges will give points for best label, presentation and teamwork.

Cooking Team Class: Learn new cooking skills and improve communication and teamwork while preparing a three-course meal with the help of one of our culinary experts and your co-workers. The group will work together to prepare a three-course Chef's Choice Lunch or Dinner. The group will be split into three groups, each responsible for a different course of the meal. The group, with the exception of using knives, use will create the meal from scratch. The chef will be responsible for any use of knives for liability purposes. Once all the meals are plated, the group will have their meal (with wine pairings if requested, at an additional charge). Group members will receive recipes of the selections prepared.

Garden Tour and Cooking Class: The group will be given a guided tour of Highland Lake Inn's Organic Gardens by the resident gardener. The tour will include discussions of the benefit of organic gardening over using pesticides and growth enhancers. The tour will be followed by a cooking demonstration by one of our skilled chefs. A glass of wine is included and paired to match the entrée. Group members will receive recipes of the lunch selections.

Pine Mountain Adventures: Let Tom Schrager bring a new and exciting flare to your group’s adventure. As a new partner to Highland Lake Inn, Tom has already hosted several Amazing Race events right on our property. They offer teambuilding programs for groups ranging from eight through thousands of people and from 1 hour to multiple days. Whether you are looking for a mental and physical break from your meeting, are having communication problems in your office or are just looking for a fun activity for your team, they can develop a program uniquely for you.
